Shaheen Shah Afridi left out of Pakistan squad for second Bangladesh Test
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its 12-member squad for the second Test against Bangladesh, scheduled to start tomorrow, August 30, in Rawalpindi. The squad sees a significant change, with Shaheen Shah Afridi being replaced by Mir Hamza and leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed included in the squad.
Afridi, who was initially part of the squad, has been left out for this match, and the final playing XI will be confirmed at the toss. Abrar Ahmed, Pakistan's sole recognized spinner, is expected to feature in the playing XI, potentially replacing one of the four fast bowlers used in the first Test.
Shaheen Shah Afridi had rejoined the squad after the birth of his child, but the PCB has decided to exclude him from the final eleven for this match.
The second Test will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 30 to September 3. Bangladesh achieved a historic 10-wicket victory in the first Test, giving them a chance to secure the series win.
