Following the removal of the only recognized spinner from the squad, Abrar Ahmed, Pakistan had to field a pace-heavy bowling attack in the first Test against Bangladesh. Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam have rejoined Pakistan’s Test squad ahead of the second match, which will be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 30 to September 3.

The leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed and batter Kamran Ghulam, who were recently called up, were initially excluded from the Test squad before the start of the first Test. They were seen playing for Pakistan Shaheens against Bangladesh 'A' in a four-day match at Islamabad Club from August 23 to August 26.

Before the second Test, both players have been re-integrated into the national team. Additionally, Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was omitted from the squad after the first Test, has rejoined the team as of Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, Aamer Jamal, who was given time off from the squad to work on fitness at the NCA, has been recalled. Aamer’s participation in the second Test will be contingent on fitness clearance.

In the first match of the series in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh achieved a historic 10-wicket victory over Pakistan. The Tigers now have the chance to win the series. The second and final Test begins on August 30. This series is of special significance to both teams as it is part of the Test Championship.
