Nominees unveiled for ICC’s Men's Emerging Cricketer of The Year
Four young cricketers from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, and the West Indies have been nominated for the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year Award for 2024. The list includes two batters and two pace bowlers, showcasing exceptional talent from across the cricketing world.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the names of the four nominees in a statement today, based on their overall performances in 2024. The nominees are:
- Saim Ayub (Pakistan)
- Kamindu Mendis (Sri Lanka)
- Shamarh Brooks (West Indies)
- Gus Atkinson (England)
These young players are competing for the prestigious title, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the game.
In 2023, the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year was awarded to New Zealand's all-rounder, Rachin Ravindra, for his remarkable performances.
