No Steve Smith in Australia T20 World Cup Squad
No Steve Smith in Australia T20 World Cup Squad
Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the West Indies and the United States of America. Experienced player Steve Smith and rising star Jack Fraser-McGurk are not included in the squad.
The 15-member squad includes Ashton Agar and Cameron Green. These two cricketers have been out of international T20 cricket for 18 months.
Mitch Marsh, who served as the interim captain for the past 12 months, continues as the leader of the World Cup squad.

Mitch Marsh (c), Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa.
