Late in the innings, Daryl Mitchell contributed with three sixes, helping the team surpass the 200-run mark.
West Indies’ chase started slowly. Brandon King was dismissed for a duck. Although Alick Athanaze and Jason Holder played some strong innings, the team fell behind the required run rate. In the final overs, explosive batting by Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd, and Matthew Forde made the finish thrilling.
With 16 runs needed off the last over, Kyle Jamieson held his nerve and conceded just 7 runs in four deliveries to secure the win. New Zealand’s aggressive batting and strategic decisions ultimately delivered victory.
