Bangladesh won by 25 runs

Shakib Al Hasan ended his run drought with a defiant 64-run unbeaten innings, propelling Bangladesh to a total of 159. On a day that brought relief to both Shakib and his fans, Bangladesh secured a thrilling 25-run victory over the Netherlands, advancing strongly on their path to the Super Eights. Despite picking up just one wicket, Mustafizur Rahman was economical, conceding only 12 runs in his 4 overs.

The partnership between Shakib and Tanzid Tamim provided Bangladesh with a solid foundation. However, the Dutch bowlers consistently took wickets, preventing the Tigers from gaining complete control. Mahmudullah Riyad provided excellent support to Shakib, contributing to Bangladesh's challenging total of 159 with Shakib's outstanding 64 off 46 balls.

Losing both openers for just 32 runs, the Dutch batting lineup was in deep trouble. However, Vikramjit Singh and Sybrand Engelbrecht brought some stability to the Netherlands' innings. Just as the partnership started to threaten, Mahmudullah Riyad was introduced into the attack and provided a crucial breakthrough. Rishad Hossain, completing his quota of overs, took another wicket by catching Logan van Beek off his own bowling. With the Netherlands struggling at 117 for 7, Mustafizur became unplayable towards the end.
