NCL Match Between Dhaka and Sylhet Ends in a Draw in Khulna
The National Cricket League (NCL) Test match between Dhaka and Sylhet ended in a draw at Sheikh Abu Naser International Cricket Stadium in Khulna. Despite three innings across four days, neither team could secure a win, with Dhaka only batting once before both teams accepted a draw.
Sylhet batted first and were bowled out for 146 runs. Tanzim Hasan Sakib top-scored with 42 runs, while captain Amit Hasan contributed 18. For Dhaka, Enamul Haque and Nazmul Islam Apu each took 3 wickets.
In reply, Dhaka managed to score 224 runs, thanks to a century from Mahidul Islam Ankon, who made 118 runs off 233 balls. Rubel Mia added 21 runs. Khaled Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers for Sylhet, taking 4 wickets, while Rahatul Ferdous took 3.
Trailing by 78 runs, Sylhet began their second innings, and half-centuries from Pinak Ghosh, Amit Hasan, and Asadullah Al Galib helped them post 257/8 by the end of the day. Nazmul Islam Apu took 4 wickets for Dhaka. However, Dhaka did not get a chance to bat again in the second innings, and the match concluded with a draw after three completed innings.
