Mustafizur Rahman Breaks into the Top 5 with Career-Best Bowling Performance
Mustafizur Rahman has secured a place among the top 5 wicket-takers in international T20 cricket with his career-best bowling performance.
After facing criticism for losing the first two matches against the USA, the Bangladesh team, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, made a strong comeback in the third and final match. Mustafizur Rahman's brilliant bowling restricted the hosts to just 104 runs.
At the Prairie View Cricket Complex, Bangladesh chose to bowl first after winning the toss. The USA's opening partnership scored 46 runs in 5 overs. Shakib Al Hasan initiated the breakthroughs by dismissing Andries Gous, marking his 700th wicket in international cricket.
Following Shakib's lead, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain each claimed one wicket. However, Mustafizur Rahman stole the spotlight by surpassing his previous records.
Mustafizur's spell of 4 overs included 1 maiden over and cost only 10 runs while taking 6 wickets, making it his best performance in international T20 cricket.
With this achievement, Mustafizur has climbed into the top 5 wicket-takers in international T20 cricket, overtaking Mark Adair.
