Mushfiq Joins 6000-Run Club as the First Bangladeshi Batter in Test Cricket
Mushfiqur Rahim has become the first Bangladeshi batter to reach the 6000-run milestone in Test cricket. He achieved this feat during the second innings of the ongoing first Test against South Africa at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Mushfiq reached the milestone by hitting a boundary on the third ball of the 26th over. To score 6000 Test runs, it took him 172 innings. His achievements include 11 centuries and 27 half-centuries. Mushfiqur Rahim holds the records for playing the most Tests for Bangladesh, scoring the most Test runs, and having the highest number of double centuries for the country.
