Mashrafe made headline in DPL

Today there were three matches in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). The match between Legends of Rupganj and Gazi Group Cricketers created the most discussion. This match featured the presence of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. Not only did he show up, but he also performed exceptionally, taking 5 wickets. The team achieved a victory in the match. In the other two matches of the day, Shinepukur Cricket Club won against Partex Sporting Club and Mohammedan Sporting Club won against Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy.

Mashrafe always brings a certain sparkle wherever he goes. This time he showcased that on the DPL field. He withdrew from playing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) midway to focus on parliamentary responsibilities and additional duties. He hasn't returned to BPL since then.

In today's DPL match representing Rupganj, Mashrafe was on fire. He took 5 wickets conceding only 19 runs in 8 overs. Apart from Anisul Islam Emon's innings of 41 runs, others struggled to make significant contributions, leading Gazi Group to a total of 136 runs.

In reply, Rupganj lost 4 wickets and reached the victory target in 28 overs. Choudhury Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten with 47 runs.

The match between Partex and Mohammedan witnessed low-scoring affairs. Partex struggled with their batting lineup, failing to capitalize much. Despite Mizanur Rahman's fifty and Tanvir Hayder's 41 runs, they managed to score only 187 runs.

For Mohammedan, Abu Haidar Rony took 3 wickets. They secured victory with ease in 42.2 overs. Mahidul Islam Ankon remained unbeaten with 70 runs, while Prantik Nawroz Nabil added 60 runs. As a result, Mohammedan didn't face much trouble in achieving the victory.

In the face-off between Shinepukur and Gazi Tyres, Shinepukur lost all wickets scoring 224 runs. Irfan Sukkur top-scored with 38 runs. Gazi Tyres, in response, got all out scoring 151 runs. Shamim Mia top-scored for them with 47 runs. Gazi Tyres suffered a batting collapse and couldn't maintain their innings, leading to Shinepukur's victory.

For Shinepukur, Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets. However, Robiul Haque emerged as the best performer of the match, taking 2 wickets and conceding 12 runs in 6 overs while scoring 21 runs with the bat in hand.
