Mahmudullah Breaks Tamim’s Record for Most Sixes in ODIs for Bangladesh
In the 3rd and final ODI against the West Indies, Mahmudullah Riyad became the new record holder for the most sixes in One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Bangladesh. With this achievement, he surpassed Tamim Iqbal to hold the record for the most sixes in the 50-over format for the Tigers.
Before the match, Mahmudullah Riyad was tied with Tamim Iqbal, both having hit 103 sixes in ODIs. However, in the 38th over of the match, Mahmudullah broke the tie by hitting a six off Gudakesh Motie, moving ahead of Tamim. As of the writing of this report, Mahmudullah has hit 105 sixes in ODIs.
Mahmudullah, Tamim, and Mushfiqur Rahim are the only three Bangladeshi players to have hit 100 or more sixes in ODIs.
