Bangladesh secured a historic 10-wicket victory against Pakistan at Rawalpindi, marking a significant milestone in their cricketing history. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto dedicated this monumental win to the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement. Following Mushfiqur Rahim's decision to donate his prize money to flood relief efforts, Liton Das has also pledged to contribute his award to support flood victims.

The recent catastrophic floods, caused by heavy rains and upstream waters from India, have severely impacted several districts, including Feni, Noakhali, and Comilla. In response, Bangladeshi cricketers have stepped up to aid those affected. Mushfiqur Rahim, who was named Man of the Match and received 300,000 Pakistani Rupees, announced that he would donate this amount to flood relief efforts.

Liton Das, honored as the Energetic Player of the Match and awarded 100,000 Pakistani Rupees, has also committed to donating his prize money to the flood victims.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Liton Das shared, "I am thrilled and proud to have contributed to our first Test victory against Pakistan. Due to the current flood situation in our country, I am unable to fully enjoy this victory as my thoughts remain with those affected. Therefore, I am announcing that I will donate the prize money received as the Energetic Player of the Match to flood relief efforts. I urge everyone in the country to contribute according to their ability. The greater the adversity, the stronger our unity. Bangladesh will not falter."
