India Announces Squad for Under-19 Asia Cup
India Announces Squad for Under-19 Asia Cup
India has announced its squad for the upcoming Under-19 Asia Cup. The tournament, held in a One-Day format, will take place in the United Arab Emirates. The Indian squad consists of 15 players, with an additional 5 players as non travelling reserves.
India is the most successful team in the Under-19 Asia Cup, having won the tournament a record eight times. In this edition, India is placed in Group 'A' alongside Pakistan, Japan, and host UAE. Group 'B' comprises Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Ahead of the main tournament, the Indian youth team will face Bangladesh's Under-19 team in a warm-up match on November 26. India will then kick off its Asia Cup campaign on November 30 against Pakistan Under-19 in Dubai. Following this, India will face Japan Under-19 on December 2 and UAE Under-19 on December 4, both matches being held in Sharjah.
