Imran Khwaja Reappointed as ICC Deputy Chair
The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has reappointed Imran Khwaja as the ICC Deputy Chair, with his new term starting on December 1, 2024.
Mr. Khwaja currently holds the position of Associate Member Director on the Board, having been re-elected at the ICC's Annual Conference in July 2024. Imran Khwaja was first elected to the ICC Board in 2008 and has been serving as Deputy Chair since 2017.
Additionally, ICC members have supported a recommendation from the ICC Board for constitutional changes in the positions of ICC Chair and Independent Director, which will now limit the terms to a maximum of two three-year terms (down from three two-year terms, with the six-year limit remaining unchanged).
