Fortune Barishal won the toss and elected to field first vs Khulna Tigers

Fortune Barishal confirmed their place in the BPL 2025 playoffs with a commanding victory over Sylhet Strikers yesterday, becoming the second team to secure a spot in the playoffs after Rangpur Riders. With four consecutive victories under their belt, Barishal now aims to complete a five-wicket haul in today's game. The first match of the day sees Barishal facing off against Mehedi Hasan Miraz's Khulna Tigers.

For Khulna Tigers, the path to the playoffs is steep. To stay in the hunt, Khulna must win all three of their remaining league matches. Even if they win two, they will need to rely on a defeat from Durbar Rajshahi in at least one match. In other words, Khulna cannot afford to lose against Barishal today. With such high stakes, Khulna Tigers lost the toss and were invited to bat first by Barishal.

In the mission to complete a five-wicket haul, Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss. Under his invitation, Khulna Tigers will bat first.

There are a few changes to Barishal's batting lineup today. Tamim Iqbal will open alongside Rishad Hossain. After being on the bench for the past eight matches, Ebadat Hossain returns to Barishal’s best XI today.
