Exciting Additions in BPL 2025: Free Water, LED Branding, and More
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the country's largest domestic cricket tournament, is returning with new features aimed at enhancing the fan experience. With a focus on affordability for spectators, ticket holders won't have to pay inflated prices for food as seen in past tournaments. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will also provide free drinking water throughout all galleries for fans attending the matches.
With catchy slogans like “Dekha Hobe Moidane” (See You on the Field) and “Esho Din Bodlai, Prithibi Bodlai” (Let’s Change the Days, Change the World), BPL 2025 promises to be a special edition. During the logo unveiling at a press conference held today at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, BCB Director and BPL Governing Council Member Secretary Nazmul Abedin Fahim introduced several new features:
“We aim to ensure a hassle-free experience for every fan at the stadium. Food prices will be fair, and we’re even offering free water. We want families to come and enjoy the games with excitement, and to see enough to make them eager to return the next day.”
Fahim also highlighted efforts to improve the viewing experience for TV audiences, emphasizing gradual improvements: “I’m not saying this season will make the tournament world-class, but it will be better than before, with more improvements in the years to come. This year, around 80-85% of tickets will be e-tickets.”
In terms of branding, the stadium will feature LED boards on the perimeter and side screens, replacing static boards. This addition aligns BPL with some of the top tournaments globally, creating a visually dynamic environment for fans in the stadium and those watching from home.
