Dutch-Bangla Bank Brings New Elements to BPL 2025
With exciting slogans like "Dekha Hobe Moidane" (See You on the Field) and "Esho Din Bodlai, Prithibi Bodlai" (Let’s Change the Days, Change the World), the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025 is ready to kick off. Dutch-Bangla Bank has joined as the title sponsor for the nation’s biggest domestic cricket tournament, with its two mobile financial services—Rocket and the e-wallet NexusPay app—serving as Powerd By and co-sponsor, respectively.
The official logo unveiling event took place today (November 6) at the media center of Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The 11th edition of BPL has been titled "Dutch-Bangla Bank BPL T20, Powered by Rocket, Co-Sponsored by NexusPay."
Present at the press conference were Nazmul Abedin Fahim, Director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Member Secretary of the BPL Governing Council, Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank, and renowned actor and director Afzal Hossain, representing Impress-Matra, the title and ground branding rights holder for BPL.
Dutch-Bangla Bank has a longstanding relationship with Bangladesh cricket, having sponsored Bangladesh’s debut Test match and title-sponsored numerous home series. This is the first time they are involved in organizing BPL.
BPL 2025, an eagerly awaited event for young fans, will be organized with great enthusiasm and fresh vigor. Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government, has shown keen interest and provided plans for the event, in collaboration with Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain and nine other ministries, along with other stakeholders. The tournament is set to showcase the energy of youth, reflecting the colors of the youth movement, especially with July’s spirit of revolution.
This 11th edition of BPL, which began in 2012, will run from December 30, 2024, to February 7, 2025. Seven teams will compete in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet. Fans can catch all the matches live on T Sports, Gazi TV, T Sports App, and RabbitholeBD App.
