BPL Franchises' Jerseys Reflect the Spirit of July Revolution

The July Revolution marks Bangladesh's second independence, with many lives sacrificed in the student movement. To honor these martyrs' sacrifices, two BPL franchises—Chittagong Kings and Sylhet Strikers—have designed their jerseys this season with a tribute to the revolution.

The practice jersey of Chittagong Kings features an image of students celebrating with the Bangladeshi flag, symbolizing their victory. The lower part of the jersey is colored red, representing the blood of the martyrs. The club shared the jersey on their official Facebook page with the following caption:

"August 5th, the dawn of a new Bangladesh. In the united voice of the people and students, fascism was overthrown. Chittagong was one of the main centers of this revolution. The people, determined for freedom, embraced bullets and broke all the barricades of fascism. The sacrifices of Wasim and Hriday Taruar illuminated the dream of a new Bangladesh. The soil stained with their blood bears witness to the rise of a new dawn. Chittagong Kings wishes to immortalize this glorious chapter of Chittagong in the history of the new Bangladesh. Therefore, this jersey will carry the immortal story of victory, and tell the tale of the rise of a new Bangladesh, woven with the mantra of unity."

On the other hand, Sylhet Strikers has launched a "Gen-Z Edition" match jersey, designed with graffiti art reflecting the July Revolution. The theme "Come, let's change the country, let's change the world" is featured prominently on the jersey, symbolizing the student-led movement.

Sylhet Strikers also shared the jersey on their Facebook page with the following caption:

"Sylhet Strikers is proud to launch the Gen-Z edition official match jersey designed with stunning graffiti art. This unique design pays tribute to our contribution to the historic July Revolution, and its theme 'Come, let's change the country, let's change the world.'"

Previously, Rangpur Riders also created a practice jersey to remember the martyrs of the July Revolution before their participation in the Globar Super League.
