Australia Announces Action-Packed 2025/26 Home Season Schedule
Australia has unveiled an action-packed schedule for their 2025/26 home season, where they will host series against South Africa, India, and England. The men’s team will also play a total of eight T20 matches as part of their preparation for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.
Alongside the men's team, the Australian women’s team will also compete against South Africa, India, and England. The blockbuster home season will kick off with the South Africa series, starting with the first T20 in Darwin on 10th August. Following that, the ODI series will begin in Cairns on 19th August.
In August, Australia will play three T20s and as many ODIs against South Africa. Later in the year, they will host India for three ODIs and a five-match T20 series for the first time. India’s tour will begin on 19th October in Perth with an ODI, and the fifth and final T20 of the series will be played in Brisbane’s Gabba on 8th November.
These eight T20 matches will serve as crucial preparation for Australia ahead of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.
A major highlight of Australia’s summer will be the Ashes series, where Pat Cummins’ team will defend the Ashes against Ben Stokes' England, aiming to retain the trophy they won in the 2017-18 series. The Ashes series will begin in Perth on 21st November.
