23 Players Secured Teams Through Direct Signing Ahead of BPL Auction
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is bringing back the auction system for its 12th edition. The league used auctions in its first two seasons before switching to a players’ draft. Now, ahead of the 2026 BPL, the auction returns once again.
The auction will take place today (30 November) at a five-star hotel in Dhaka, where 158 local and 267 overseas cricketers will go under the hammer as six franchises assemble their squads for the new season.
However, even before the auction, 23 players—12 local and 11 foreign—have already been roped in through direct signings.
