Dhaka's historic club Abahani Limited continues to dominate the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) every time. This time is no different. The team, which is built around the best stars of the national team, is so strong that coach Khaled Mahmud Sujon says Abahani is stronger than the Bangladesh national team itself, with no one being guaranteed a place in the team.

Coach Khaled Mahmud Sujon visited the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur to witness Shinepukur's game. There he spoke about the strength of Abahani.

Sujon said, "Our team is not just strong; it's not just strong, it's very strong. I don't remember a Dhaka Premier League team being this strong before."

In the latest match, Litton Das did not take the field as part of Abahani. When asked by media personnel, Sujon reminded him that Jaker Ali Anik also didn't play that day.

Sujon said, "Jaker Ali wasn't also there. Jaker Ali is my biggest performer. Jaker is a little unwell. And Litton has a break. He had one off day. On his day, Litton is one of the best players. I always prefer Litton's batting. His batting is something else. Mentally, he might be in a block. He didn't score runs. If I didn't have that flexibility, maybe I wouldn't have given Litton this break. There's flexibility. Our batting order... I think let's go with a break. Hopefully, he'll get back to form in the Super League."

However, Sujon also believes that not everyone will be able to get into the team. He said to Najmul Hossain Shanto that this team is stronger than his national team.

"Performance will speak. Then it was easy waking up. Now waking up isn't easy. Abahani is now stronger than the national team... I told Shanto to laugh. Abahani has spent a lot of money. They pay more money than other Premier League teams. Litton Das, Mosaddek Hossain, Najmul Shanto, Saifuddin, they've been playing for Abahani for many years. They don't want to leave. They want to stay in Abahani. There's a lot. But when I work for Abahani, I also work professionally. I work for my players. I respect them a lot. But when it comes to the team, Abahani comes first."
