Umpires and Match Officials Announced for Bangladesh-New Zealand Series
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the list of umpires and match officials for the upcoming Bangladesh–New Zealand series. Experienced ICC Elite Panel member Andy Pycroft will serve as the match referee in the three-match ODI and three-match T20I series.
In the ODI series, internationally renowned umpires Richard Illingworth and Nitin Menon will officiate on the field. They will be joined by local umpires Tanvir Ahmed, Gazi Sohel, Masudur Rahman Mukul, and Morshed Ali Khan.
In the first ODI, scheduled to be held in Mirpur on April 17, Nitin Menon and Tanvir Ahmed will serve as on-field umpires, while Richard Illingworth will take on the role of TV umpire. For the second ODI on April 20, Illingworth and Gazi Sohel will officiate on the field, with Nitin Menon as the TV umpire. In the third and final ODI in Chattogram, Nitin Menon and Masudur Rahman Mukul will be the on-field umpires, while Illingworth will serve again as the TV umpire.
Meanwhile, the T20I series will be officiated entirely by local umpires. In the first T20I on April 27, Gazi Sohel and Morshed Ali Khan will be the on-field umpires, with Tanvir Ahmed acting as the TV umpire. In the following two matches, Masudur Rahman Mukul will be joined by Tanvir Ahmed and Gazi Sohel respectively as on-field umpires.
Throughout the series, Tanvir Ahmed, Gazi Sohel, Masudur Rahman Mukul, and Morshed Ali Khan will take turns serving as the fourth umpire. All ODI matches will begin at 11:00 AM, while the T20I matches are scheduled to start at 2:00 PM.
