Bangladesh Make Two Changes to Playing XI Against West Indies

Bangladesh have taken the field after losing the toss in the second Test against the West Indies in Sylhet. Led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, the hosts are facing the Caribbean side today in a must-win encounter to keep the two-match series alive. Bangladesh are trailing in the series after suffering an eight-wicket defeat in the opening Test in Mirpur.

West Indies captain Roston Chase won the toss at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and elected to bat first. As a result, Bangladesh were asked to bowl first and took the field.

Bangladesh have made two changes to their playing XI for this crucial encounter. Batter Mominul Haque has been left out of the side. However, the good news for the hosts is that experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim has returned to the playing XI after fully recovering from his injury.

There has also been a change in the pace attack. Shoriful Islam has been dropped from the XI, with Taskin Ahmed coming into the side to strengthen Bangladesh’s pace bowling department.

Bangladesh Playing XI: Tanzid Hasan, Shadman Islam, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud.
