South Africa Announce Strong 15-Member Test Squad for Bangladesh Series

South Africa, riding high on confidence after defeating Australia 2-1 in a home Test series, are now set to face Bangladesh. The Proteas selectors have announced a strong 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series, which will be played in the familiar Highveld conditions.

Several key changes have been made to the squad led by Temba Bavuma. Opening batter Tony de Zorzi and reliable fast bowler Anrich Nortje have returned after recovering from injuries. Meanwhile, Zubayr Hamza has been added to strengthen the middle order, while fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been left out as he continues his rehabilitation process.

Considering the pace and bounce expected from Highveld pitches, the selectors have opted for a pace-heavy squad. Alongside the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen, the home coaching staff are also giving due respect to Bangladesh’s pace attack.

According to the schedule, the first Test will begin on November 15 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, while the second and final Test is scheduled to take place in Centurion on November 23. Both teams will be eager to collect crucial points in the ICC World Test Championship through this series.
