Familiar Face of Bangladesh Cricket, Abdur Rouf, Passes Away
Mohammad Abdur Rouf, a well-known scorer in Bangladesh cricket, has passed away. He breathed his last on Tuesday evening after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 61.
Rouf formally began his association with cricket as a scorer in 1988. Over the next nearly four decades, he served as a scorer for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in numerous international and domestic matches. He was one of the most familiar and respected figures in the country’s cricketing community.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has expressed deep sorrow at his passing. In a condolence message, the BCB prayed for the eternal peace of his soul and extended its heartfelt sympathies to his bereaved family.
