New Zealand Complete Series Whitewash, Kiwi Dominance Over West Indies Continues

Cricket fans witnessed New Zealand’s dominance at Hamilton in the third and final ODI. Having already secured the series, the Kiwis capitalized on the opportunity and defeated West Indies by four wickets, completing a series whitewash. From the very start, the home side imposed their control over the opposition.

On Saturday (22 November), West Indies won the toss and chose to bat. Facing a fierce pace attack from New Zealand, the Caribbean batsmen were bowled out for just 161 runs in 36.2 overs. Roston Chase top-scored with 38 off 51 balls, while John Campbell contributed 26 from 24 balls, and Khaari Pierre added 22 runs off 34 deliveries. For New Zealand, Matt Henry picked up four crucial wickets.

Chasing a target of 162, New Zealand’s start was shaky. The team lost three wickets for just 32 runs. Devon Conway scored 11, Rachin Ravindra 14, and Will Young managed only 3 runs. Tom Latham also fell after scoring 10 off 25 balls.

However, a 75-run partnership between Mark Chapman (64 runs off 63 balls) and Michael Bracewell (40*, 31 balls) steadied the innings and ensured victory. Mitchell Santner contributed 9 runs, helping the team cross the finish line comfortably.

New Zealand’s pace attack, resilient batting, and composure under pressure led them to a convincing win and a series whitewash over West Indies.
