Taskin Ahmed returned home to Sylhet immediately after the IL T20 tournament. Joining his team for practice, he spoke to journalists about his playing career, international league experiences, and the upcoming BPL and World Cup. His reactions about playing abroad were full of enthusiasm.
Regarding his performance in the IL T20, Taskin said,
"There is no end to playing well. But what has happened, Alhamdulillah. I played the IL T20 for the first time. There were three of us from Bangladesh, Rishad is playing in the Big Bash. Mustafiz performed very well, I did reasonably well, and Rishad is also doing well. Now we have the BPL coming up, and then the World Cup. I hope these experiences will be useful in the World Cup."
He further explained why playing in franchise leagues abroad is so important for cricketers. Taskin said,
"There is a lot to learn from sharing the dressing room with players from different countries. There are many types of coaches, everyone shares their experiences, which greatly helps in improving your own cricket. Thanks to the board for starting to give us NOCs. I hope this will lead to many good things for our country in the future."
Taskin also expressed excitement about Rishad’s performance while playing for Hobart Hurricanes in Australia. He said,
"Rishad’s googly is working well. At the beginning, his googly was not that good. The ball is turning in Australian conditions, which is a very positive aspect."
Regarding Mustafiz’s high price in the IPL auction, Taskin’s comments were clear and full of praise. He said,
"Mustafiz is a proven player in world cricket. Even if he had been sold for 18 crore instead of 9 crore, it would not have been surprising. He deserves it. He has played many good matches in the IPL, and performed brilliantly in the IL T20. It’s nothing to be surprised about."
