New Zealand pacer Adam Milne will be joining Fortune Barishal for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) playoffs. Barishal, after a record-breaking victory over Dhaka Capitals last night, has moved to the top of the points table and secured a spot in the first qualifier.
As the first round of BPL draws to a close, both Rangpur Riders and Fortune Barishal have confirmed their spots in the playoffs. To strengthen their squads for the knockout stage, franchises are bringing in star players. Barishal has completed a deal with New Zealand’s Adam Milne.
Following the match, team captain Tamim Iqbal addressed the media, where he was asked about the squad for the playoffs and the new signing. Regarding the signing, Tamim said, "We’ve made a signing. Adam Milne, a fast bowler from New Zealand."
He further added, "We are in talks with one or two other players. The challenge is that by the time they are available, it will be around 5 p.m. on the 3rd of February. That’s a bit of a challenge. But personally, I’m not in favor of changing the setup. The team is playing well. We will strengthen areas that need improvement, but don’t expect any major changes in the squad."
