Bangladesh Slip to 10th in Latest ICC ODI Rankings, India Strengthen Top Spot

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest updated rankings across all three formats, and it brings disappointing news for Bangladesh in One Day Internationals (ODIs). The Tigers have dropped to 10th place after losing four rating points, now standing at 76, while West Indies have surged ahead to ninth with 83 rating points—an improvement of five.

Bangladesh’s recent ODI performances have been underwhelming, managing just three wins in 11 matches since the beginning of last year. Series losses to Afghanistan and West Indies, followed by a winless Champions Trophy campaign, have significantly impacted their standing in the rankings.

While Bangladesh remain in 9th place in both Test and T20I formats, the decline in ODI rankings is concerning, especially with major tournaments on the horizon.

At the top, India have further cemented their No. 1 status in ODIs following their triumph in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Their rating has climbed from 122 to 124. Runners-up New Zealand have overtaken Australia to claim the second position, pushing the Aussies to third.

Sri Lanka have shown impressive form at home, winning series against both India and Australia, which helped them gain five rating points and rise to fourth place. Pakistan and South Africa have each dropped four rating points and now sit in fifth and sixth respectively. Afghanistan also improved, moving to seventh after gaining four points, while England have slipped to eighth after a similar four-point drop.
