Bhanuka Rajapaksa has made his return to Sri Lanka's T20 team for the series against the West Indies. Dasun Shanaka and Dilshan Madushanka are absent from the squad, while Dushmantha Chameera has been ruled out due to injury.
The middle-order batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa has been included in Sri Lanka's T20 squad for the three-match series against the West Indies. However, former captain Dasun Shanaka has been left out. Left-arm pacer Dilshan Madushanka also did not receive a call-up. Dushmantha Chameera has been sidelined due to injury and has been away from competitive cricket since July.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa has not played an international match for Sri Lanka since January 2023. Meanwhile, Chamindu Vikramsinghe has retained his spot in the team. The 22-year-old cricketer made his debut against India. Test captain Dhananjaya de Silva has also not made the squad.
The T20 series is set to begin next Sunday, with all three matches taking place in Dambulla.
