Kevin Pietersen raises serious questions on Pakistan team after first-ever Test loss to Bangladesh
Following Pakistan's 10-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in Test cricket, former English star Kevin Pietersen has raised questions about the state of Pakistan cricket. Shocked by the result, Pietersen asked, "What has happened to Pakistan cricket?" Michael Vaughan also praised Bangladesh and criticized Pakistan, describing them as a "shambles."
Kevin Pietersen, the former England cricketer, was astonished by Pakistan's 10-wicket loss to Bangladesh. He expressed his disappointment over the events of the fifth day of the Rawalpindi Test, as he believed there was a lot of talent in Pakistan.
Pietersen wrote on his verified 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle, "What has happened to cricket in Pakistan? When I played in the PSL, the standard of the league was exceptional, the players' work ethic was very good, and the young players were magical. What is happening there?"
Pietersen played for the PSL franchise Quetta Gladiators from 2016 to 2018, during which he featured in a total of 27 matches.
Previously, former England captain Michael Vaughan also reacted to Pakistan's defeat to Bangladesh in the first Test. Vaughan wrote on X, “What a great win for Bangladesh!! High-quality performance… Pakistan is really a shambles.”
