Sri Lanka aims to set Bangladesh a target of more than 300 runs

Sri Lanka's fast bowling coach, Gamage, expressed satisfaction with the performance of his bowlers, praising their basic line and length.

Gamage believes that setting a target of more than 300 runs is achievable for Sri Lanka, especially considering their current lead of 211 runs. He praised the bowling effort of his team, emphasizing their success in taking all ten wickets. He mentioned that there were some uneven bounces on the pitch, which the bowlers used to their advantage.

Looking ahead to the second day, the focus shifts to Sri Lankan spinner, Lahiru Kumara, who has already taken three wickets. Apart from him, Vishwa Fernando and Kasun Rajitha have also contributed significantly, taking four and three wickets respectively. Gamage mentioned that Kumara has been working hard to improve his skills for Test cricket, and his efforts are paying off.

At the end of the second day, Sri Lanka finds themselves at 119 runs for the loss of five wickets. Despite losing wickets, their lead of 211 runs from the first innings puts them in a strong position. Bangladesh will face a tough challenge against Sri Lankan pacers if they aim to chase down whatever target Sri Lanka sets in the second innings.
