West Indies Announce Squad for Series Against Bangladesh Women’s Team
The West Indies women's team has announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Fast-bowling all-rounder Cherry-Ann Fraser and uncapped pacer Janellia Glasgow have received call-ups.
Shamilia Connell and Rashida Williams, who were part of the squad for the India tour, have been excluded, while the experienced Stafanie Taylor is absent from the Bangladesh series due to injury. Hayley Matthews continues as the captain, with Shemaine Campbelle serving as her deputy.
This will be the first time Bangladesh women’s team will play a bilateral series against the West Indies women’s team, and it will also be the first time Bangladesh travels to the Caribbean. The two teams last met during the 2022 Women's World Cup, where Bangladesh failed to secure a win against the West Indies.
The three-match ODI series will begin on January 19 in Saint Kitts, followed by the final match of the three-match T20I series on January 30.
