Australia's 9-wicket victory, their third consecutive win, has placed them at the top of Group B, securing their spot in the Super Eight stage. At Antigua, Australia won the match during the power play itself by bowling Namibia out for just 72 runs. Adam Zampa, who took 4 wickets for 12 runs, set a new record in this match by reaching 100 wickets in international T20s.
Zampa became the first Australian bowler to join the elite club of 100 wickets in international T20s. He is the 15th bowler overall to reach this milestone. Zampa achieved his 100 wickets in 82 innings, delivering a total of 1787 balls.
The task of quickly dismantling Namibia was primarily accomplished by spinner Adam Zampa. His bowling figures of 4 wickets for 12 runs in 4 overs were truly impressive. Naturally, he was awarded the Player of the Match.
In T20s, Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman have also reached the milestone of 100 wickets. Shakib, who has taken 146 wickets in 122 innings across 124 matches, is second on the list of highest wicket-takers. New Zealand's Tim Southee tops the list with 157 wickets. Mustafizur, who is fifth on the list, has taken 123 wickets in 98 matches so far.
