West Indies' Star Batter Shimron Hetmyer Out of ODI Series Against Bangladesh; Allick Athanaze Replaces Him
Before the start of the ODI series against Bangladesh, West Indies suffered another blow with star batter Shimron Hetmyer being ruled out. He has been replaced by Allick Athanaze, who has been included in the squad for the three-match series.
Hetmyer pulled out of the squad due to illness, and Athanaze has been called up in his place. This marks the third change in the West Indies' ODI squad in recent days. Earlier, Jamaican pacer Marquino Mindley and Jayden Seales were added to the squad, replacing Shamarh Brooks and Matthew Ford.
The first match of the Bangladesh-West Indies ODI series starts today, with the two teams set to face off at 7:30 PM Bangladesh time.
