On December 3, the West Indies announced their squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh. However, before the series could begin, the team faced a setback. Two changes were made to the 15-member squad due to injuries.
Fast bowlers Matthew Ford and Shamar Joseph were ruled out due to injuries, prompting the inclusion of two replacements: pacers Marquino Mindley and Jediah Blades.
Marquino Mindley, who has previously played one Test match for the West Indies in 2022, is now awaiting his ODI debut after a two-year absence. On the other hand, 22-year-old left-arm pacer Jediah Blades has earned his maiden call-up to the national team across all formats.
The three-match ODI series will take place on December 8, 10, and 12 in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
