Usman Qadir Announces His Retirement From International Cricket

Pakistani leg-spinner Usman Qadir has announced his retirement from cricket. He is the son of legendary leg-spinner Abdul Qadir. Usman last played for Pakistan in 2022.

He made the announcement via a post on social media platform Twitter. In a lengthy post, he expressed his gratitude for his journey with Pakistan cricket, stating:

"Today, I announce my retirement from Pakistan cricket. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Pakistan cricket for the journey we have shared. It has been a great honor to represent my country. I am grateful to my coaches and teammates who stood by me at every step."

He further wrote, "From unforgettable victories to the challenges we faced together, every moment has shaped my career and enriched my life. I am deeply thankful to the passionate fans who have always supported me."

"As I step into this new chapter, I will carry forward my father's legacy. I will embrace both my love for cricket and the lessons he taught me. I will carry the spirit of Pakistan cricket and the memories we created together. Thank you for everything."

Usman Qadir has played 25 T20 matches for Pakistan, taking 29 wickets during his career.
