The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has imposed a five-year ban on Pakistani-born cricketer Usman Khan for violating terms of the agreement with the United Arab Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). Consequently, Usman will not be able to participate in any tournaments organized by the ECB for the next five years.

Usman Khan received the ban for his participation in Pakistan's training camp. Despite being a part of the national team for the United Arab Emirates, he received a call-up for Pakistan's national team camp recently and agreed to participate. This breach of contract led to the imposition of a five-year ban by the ECB, preventing Usman from participating in any tournaments organized by the board until 2029. This means he won't be able to play in leagues such as the IPL and T10 League as well.

The ECB stated in its announcement that Usman Khan provided false descriptions regarding his association with the United Arab Emirates Cricket Board. Despite benefiting from ECB facilities, he does not wish to abide by the procedures required either as a part of the ECB or to play for the United Arab Emirates.

In the past year, Usman had participated as a local cricketer in the international T20 leagues held in the United Arab Emirates. Due to this ban, he will not be able to participate in these tournaments for the next five years. He will also be unable to play in the T10 League.
