The third day of the Test match at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has been abandoned without a single ball bowled, marking the second consecutive day of play being called off. With only two days left in the match, concerns are rising over the weather conditions.
Despite no rain today, the ground staff at Green Park were unable to prepare the field for play. An official announcement confirming the abandonment was made at 2:08 PM Bangladesh time.
In the first innings, Bangladesh scored 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 35 overs. After losing both openers, the team's captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, also returned to the pavilion after scoring 31 runs. Muminul Haque was unbeaten on 40 runs, while Mushfiqur Rahim remained at 6 runs when play was halted.
