Tamim Iqbal May Provide Commentary for Upcoming India-Bangladesh Series
Tamim Iqbal has frequently expressed his interest in commentary. He has previously done commentary during the BPL and the Test match against New Zealand in Mirpur. This time, he may be seen with a microphone during the upcoming India-Bangladesh series, which will be held abroad.
Tamim made his international commentary debut last December. During the second Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Mirpur, he praised the national players and thrilled the audience with his commentary. Earlier, in the 2022 BPL, Tamim had his first experience in commentary.
Currently, Tamim Iqbal is out of action due to fitness issues. Although he is not with the national team, he will travel to India for the series. He will be providing commentary for the series. This will be the first time Bangladesh's opening batsman will provide commentary for an international match outside the country. Discussions are ongoing with the broadcasting channel Star Sports regarding this.
Tamim Iqbal last played an ODI for the national team in September last year against New Zealand in Mirpur. His most recent Test appearance was even earlier, in April last year against Ireland in Mirpur. Additionally, he retired from T20 cricket in March 2020.
This month, Nazmul Hossain Shanto's team will tour India for two Tests and three T20 matches. After the two-Test series against India, the three T20 matches will be held on October 6, 9, and 12.
