Sri Lanka Cricket selectors have decided to release Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Kamindu Mendis, and Asitha Fernando from the ongoing series' third and final ODI against New Zealand.
This decision was made to ensure the players get adequate rest and prepare themselves for the upcoming Test series against South Africa.
In their absence, Nuwanidu Fernando, Lahiru Udara, and Ishan Malinga have been included in the ODI squad as replacements.
The third and final ODI of the series is scheduled to be held on November 19 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (PICS).
