Shardul Thakur Joins Lucknow Super Giants in IPL After Injury Replacement
Shardul Thakur has finally secured a spot in the IPL, as he has been picked up by the Lucknow Super Giants. This move comes after Lucknow's bowler, Mohsin Khan, was ruled out due to injury, and Shardul was brought in as a replacement.
Thakur, an experienced all-rounder, has represented India in all three formats of international cricket. Surprisingly, he remained unsold in the IPL auction earlier this year. However, with the injury to Mohsin Khan, his fortunes have changed, and he has now been included in the squad.
Shardul has been signed for a reserve price of ₹2 crore. With his impressive performances for India in various formats, he brings valuable experience to the team. He also has extensive IPL experience, having played 95 matches and represented five different franchises in the tournament.
The Lucknow Super Giants will play against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam on Monday, with Rishabh Pant leading the team.
