Shamim Hossain Follows AB de Villiers, Focuses on Improving Batting
Shamim Hossain Patwari is in outstanding form in the ongoing BPL. His quick cameos have been crucial in helping Chittagong Kings post big totals in most of their matches. In the recent match against Fortune Barishal, Shamim's quickfire 30 runs off just 12 balls helped Chittagong surpass the 200-run mark. So, who does Shamim follow for his hard-hitting batting? He revealed the answer himself.
After Chittagong Kings' 24-run victory over Fortune Barishal on Saturday, Shamim spoke to the media as the team's representative. In response to a question, he mentioned that he follows AB de Villiers, saying, "When it comes to AB de Villiers, I closely follow his batting. I really enjoy watching him."
Shamim has made several adjustments in his batting technique to improve, including a change in his head position. "There hasn’t been much change, but I have adjusted my head position slightly and fixed my elbow," he said.
Despite the controversy surrounding Chittagong Kings’ player payments, Shamim spoke positively about the team's atmosphere: "Our team environment is very good. You all know there has been a lot of talk, but we didn’t focus on that. We were only focused on our game. The team bonding has been excellent because of that."
Shamim also shared his confidence after their consecutive victories: "We are very confident. Let’s see what happens. This win will definitely help. Since we managed to win this match, it will give us extra confidence."
