Rishabh Pant Surpasses Kohli in Rankings

Rishabh Pant has climbed to the sixth position in the ICC Test batters' rankings, surpassing fellow Indian star Virat Kohli. The left-handed wicketkeeper-batter improved his ranking after scoring 20 runs in the first innings and 99 in the second innings of the first Test against New Zealand.

England’s Joe Root continues to hold the top spot in the Test batting rankings, followed by New Zealand’s Kane Williamson in second place. England's Harry Brook is in third, while India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal is ranked fourth. Virat Kohli currently sits in eighth place.

English opener Ben Duckett is just outside the top 10. After scoring 114 runs against Pakistan, he has risen to 11th place. Pakistan's batter Salman Ali Agha, who has crossed 50 runs in three of his last four innings, has jumped 8 places to reach a career-best 14th position. Salman is now Pakistan’s highest-ranked batter, ahead of Babar Azam (19th), Mohammad Rizwan (21st), and Saud Shakeel (27th).

New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra has surged 36 places to reach 18th, while Devon Conway has moved up 12 places to 36th.

Meanwhile, New Zealand’s pace star Matt Henry took 8 wickets in the first innings against India, advancing two spots to a career-best 9th in the rankings. His teammate Will O'Rourke, who claimed 7 wickets in the same match, moved up two places to 39th.

Pakistan’s spinner Nauman Ali, after taking 11 wickets in the two innings against England, now holds the 17th spot in the Test bowlers' rankings. Sajid Khan, who also performed in the same match, advanced 22 places to reach 50th. Among the bowlers, India’s Jasprit Bumrah leads the rankings, followed by compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin in second place.

In the ICC T20 bowlers’ rankings, Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka has risen 4 places to 8th, while Kusal Mendis has moved up 6 spots to 12th. Their teammate Maheesh Theekshana has climbed to 3rd in the bowlers' rankings. Wanindu Hasaranga is now the 6th best T20 bowler after moving up one spot.

Wanindu Hasaranga has also risen two spots in the ODI bowlers' rankings, now sitting in 18th place. Charith Asalanka has moved up two spots to 12th.
