Reason for One-Day Break in Sri Lanka-New Zealand Galle Test
In September, the New Zealand cricket team will play a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-2025 cycle.
The first Test of the Sri Lanka-New Zealand series will be held from September 18 to September 23 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka. There will be a one-day break in the match on September 21 because of the presidential election scheduled in Sri Lanka on that day. The second Test will be played at the same stadium from September 26 to September 30.
Before facing Sri Lanka, New Zealand will play a series against Afghanistan. The only Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand will take place on September 9 in Noida, India.
New Zealand has already announced its squad for the Test series against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
