Ravindra Jadeja Retires After Kohli and Rohit

Following Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, another Indian cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja, has announced his retirement. The 35-year-old cricketer declared his retirement from international T20 on Sunday.

A day after winning the World Cup, Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement through an Instagram post. In his retirement announcement, Jadeja wrote:

“With a grateful heart, I bid farewell to international T20 cricket. Like a galloping horse full of glory, I have always given my best for the country and will continue to do so in other formats. Winning the T20 World Cup, the pinnacle of my international T20 career, has fulfilled my dream. Thank you for all the memories, cheers, and unwavering support.”

Jadeja's retirement, following that of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, marks the end of an era in Indian cricket. As the team’s top all-rounder across all three formats for many years, Jadeja has been a reliable asset to the team. However, in the T20 format, he has followed the path of Virat and Rohit.

In this T20 World Cup, Ravindra Jadeja's performance was not impressive. In 7 innings, he managed to take only 1 wicket. With the bat, he scored just 35 runs in 5 innings, falling short of the team’s expectations.

Jadeja has played 74 international T20 matches for India. In 41 innings with the bat, he scored 515 runs at a strike rate of 127.16. With the ball, he has taken a total of 54 wickets in 71 innings.
