Rangpur Riders Crush Noakhali with Tahaid Hridoys Storming Century
In the Bangladesh Premier League, Tahaid Hridoy’s sensational century overshadowed Hasan Isakhil’s effort as Rangpur Riders secured a commanding victory over Noakhali Express by 8 wickets. Rangpur chased down the target of 174 with 2 balls to spare.
Noakhali Express, after winning the toss, opted to bat but started slowly. The team lost their first two wickets for just 36 runs. They managed only 33 runs during the powerplay. However, Hasan Isakhil then lit up the innings with exceptional batting.
He shared a 137-run partnership off 73 balls with Haider Ali. Isakhil played an outstanding knock of 107 runs off 72 balls, while Haider Ali contributed 42 runs. Noakhali ended their 20 overs at 173/2. For Rangpur, Alis Al Islam and Nahid Rana took a wicket each.
Chasing the target, the Rangpur Riders started confidently. David Malan fell early after scoring 15 runs, but Tahaid Hridoy’s explosive innings of 109 runs off 63 balls brought the team close to victory.
Captain Liton Das added 35 crucial runs, guiding the team with composure. Thanks to the depth and resilience of Rangpur’s batting, they comfortably reached the target.
Noakhali’s bowlers tried to apply pressure at times, but Rangpur’s batting depth proved too strong to counter.
