Pakistan's Haris Rauf Included in ODI Squad Against New Zealand After Stellar T20 Performance
Following his outstanding performance in the T20 series, Pakistan's fast bowler Haris Rauf has been added to the national squad for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, set to begin on March 29.
According to sources, after a request from the team management, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) granted permission for Haris Rauf to be included in the ODI squad for the New Zealand series.
Initially, Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi were not part of the announced ODI squad. However, Rauf's remarkable performance in the T20 series proved that he is currently Pakistan's only bowler in top form, which led to Pakistan's head coach, Aqib Javed, deciding to include him in the one-day squad.
Additionally, there will be a wicketkeeper-batter joining the team in New Zealand. The candidates for this spot are Mohammad Haris and Usman Khan, but the final decision on who will be included in the squad has not yet been made.
The first ODI match between Pakistan and New Zealand will take place on March 29, followed by the second match on April 2 and the third match on April 5. Mohammad Rizwan will lead the Pakistan team in the series.
