Pakistani Cricketers Dominate ICC Player Rankings: Shaheen Shah Afridi Returns to No.1 Spot in Bowling

Pakistani cricketers are currently dominating the ICC player rankings. Babar Azam had held the top spot in the ODI batting rankings for a long time, but now, after a stellar performance, pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has returned to the number 1 position in the ICC ODI Bowling Rankings, overtaking Australian bowlers.

In the series against Australia, Shaheen took 8 wickets at an average of 12.62 in 3 matches, which propelled him 3 spots up in the rankings to take the top spot. His rating points stand at 696. Another Pakistani pacer, Haris Rauf, has improved his ranking by 14 places, now sitting at 13th.

In the bowling rankings, Rashid Khan holds the No.2 spot, while the top-ranked spinner from last week, Keshav Maharaj, has dropped 2 spots to No.3. Kuldeep Yadav is now ranked 4th after dropping one position.

In other developments, Mehedi Hasan Miraz has moved up 9 spots in the bowling rankings and is now in 24th place. However, Shariful Islam has seen a decline, dropping 10 spots to 34th. On the other hand, Mustafizur Rahman has climbed 6 spots in the rankings.

Following his good performance in the Afghanistan series, Najmul Hossain Shanto has climbed 11 spots in the ICC Batter Rankings, reaching 24th position. Mushfiqur Rahim, however, has dropped 7 places.

In the ICC ODI All-Rounder Rankings, Mehedi Hasan Miraz has improved by 4 spots, now occupying the 4th position. Mohammad Nabi remains at the top, while Omarzai has also made improvements.

The latest T20 rankings have seen significant changes. England's Phil Salt has moved up to 2nd place, and Jos Buttler has climbed one spot to 6th. West Indies' Nicholas Pooran holds the 10th spot. There have also been changes following the ongoing series between South Africa and India, with South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen (up 2 spots to 12th) and Tristan Stubbs (up 12 spots to 26th) improving their positions.

Sri Lanka's spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has impressed in the T20 bowling rankings, moving up 4 places to reach 2nd. West Indies' Akeal Hosein is in 3rd, while India's Ravi Bishnoi sits at 7th. New Zealand's Mitchell Santner (up 4 spots to 13th) and Lockie Ferguson (up 10 spots to 15th) have also seen improvements, as has England's pacer Jofra Archer, who has climbed 10 spots to 21st.

In the T20 All-Rounder rankings, England's Liam Livingstone holds the No.1 spot. Wanindu Hasaranga has improved by one spot to reach 5th. West Indies' Romario Shepherd has climbed 4 spots to 8th.
