Pakistan to Host Bangladesh for Five-Match T20I Series, Faisalabad Set for International Cricket Return
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to host the first two matches of the upcoming Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series in Faisalabad, marking a potential return of international cricket to the city after more than 15 years.
The Bangladesh national cricket team is scheduled to tour Pakistan next month for a five-match T20 International series. The matches are expected to take place on May 25, 27, and 30, followed by the final two games on June 1 and 3.
If confirmed, the first two matches will be held at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, which last hosted an international game on April 11, 2008—also between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The remaining three matches are slated to be played in Lahore. The decision to expand the series to five T20Is comes as part of both teams’ preparations for the 2025 Asia Cup and the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.
To date, Pakistan and Bangladesh have faced each other 19 times in T20Is. Pakistan holds a dominant record, winning 16 matches, while Bangladesh has secured 3 victories.
